Quality Excavating
Excavation scope
Depth, reach, spoil placement, truck access and the next trade all affect an excavation plan. We review available plans and visible site conditions before defining the work. Excavated material may be reused, shaped on site or hauled depending on its condition and the agreed scope.
Every property is different. Rather than forcing a standard package onto the job, Quality Excavating prices the specific access, earthwork, material and finish needed for the next phase.
- Building and foundation excavation
- Cuts, fills and bulk earthmoving
- Utility and drainage access
- Rock and unsuitable-material coordination

Quality Excavating
Coordinate the connected work
Most site-work problems happen at the handoff between services. An excavation needs somewhere for water to go. A pad needs reliable access. A driveway needs a stable subgrade and cross-drainage. We can review those connections together and include related work in one clear estimate.
Quality Excavating
From site walk to final pass
A useful estimate starts on the ground. We review access, slopes, water movement, material needs, existing improvements and the intended finished use. The written scope identifies the work being priced so owners, builders and contractors can coordinate the next trade without guessing.
Once scheduled, we stage the right equipment, complete the agreed earthwork and make a final pass through the work area. Conditions below grade can change a plan; when they do, we explain the issue and discuss the practical options before extending the scope.

Quality Excavating
Built for East Tennessee ground
Properties around Seymour, Knoxville, Sevierville, and surrounding areas combine clay, rock, wooded slopes and concentrated stormwater. Successful site work is not only about moving dirt quickly. The cut, fill, access and drainage must work together for the building plan and the terrain.
Quality Excavating serves projects within approximately 70 miles of Seymour. Project fit depends on location, access, scope and schedule, so the best first step is to call or send the property address with a short description.

Frequently asked questions
Have another question? Call the office or send the project details.
What does an excavation scope usually cover?
It identifies the cuts and fills being made, where excavated material goes, how equipment and trucks reach the work, and the condition the area is left in for the next trade. Those limits are written into the estimate.
What happens to the material you dig out?
Depending on its condition and the agreed scope, material may be reused on site, shaped into another area of the property or hauled away. The estimate states which of those is included.
What if you hit rock or unsuitable soil?
Conditions below grade can change a plan. Rock and unsuitable material are coordinated as part of the work, and when something unexpected appears we explain the issue and discuss the practical options before extending the scope.
Do you provide engineering, survey or staking?
No. Those are provided by the appropriate project professionals and are not implied unless the written scope says otherwise. We work from the plans and site information the project team supplies.
